Wellington Community Pre-School
We aim to provide a safe, secure, yet stimulating environment, free from prejudice or discrimination, in which your child has the opportunity to discover the world around them and to learn from these experiences.
We match your what your children experience at the Pre-School to their individual, specific needs.
Sessions:
Monday to Friday 9-15 - 11.45 am in the Willow Room.
Rates:
Fees per session are currently £7.75 for children under 3 years
For children over 3, yet not receiving government funding, £7.25
After your child turns 3 years of age he or she will be eligible for five sessions fully funded through the national nursery education grant.
An example of our activities
9-15 am to 10.15am
Children are offered a choice of activities which provide opportunities for them to learn through play in the six areas of our curriculum.
Painting, drawing, collage, junk modelling, soil, sand and water, dough, clay play and computer activity.
We offer imaginative toys, construction toys, cutting and tracing, puzzles and games, cooking, threading, puppets, dressing-up, role play, book corner and music.
10.15am to 10.30 am
Story time, where the children have the opportunity to talk about their activities or our current themes.
10.30 am to 10.45 am
Children are provided with a healthy snack and a drink. We cater for allergies and any cultural requirements.
10.45 am to 11.30 am
Weather permitting, the children go our into our garden. There is an opportunity for the children to run and play freely or to use the outdoor equipment - climbing frame, tricycles and our see-saw for example.
11.30 am to 11.45 am
All together time - where the children return to play games, share songs and rhymes, use musical instruments and finish their session with our Pre-School song before leaving for home.

Our Pre-school based in Willow is pleased to announce that Ofsted have agreed to allow them to increase the number of places in their nursery to 28 children.

The Pre-school now runs a Lunch Club on Thursdays and Fridays from 11.45am to 12.45pm.
£3.50 per child - bring a packed lunch.
