Ages 2-3
Our team supports each child’s individual development using the Birth to Three Matters Framework. The children are encouraged to be actively involved in their own learning, social and health care.
As well as through traditional means such as arts and crafts, the pre-school group enables children to express their views, emotions and concerns using a range of tools including cameras and IT equipment.

The Children Centre has excellent facilities for wrap around care and holiday clubs.
College Gardens Nursery Breakfast Club
We offer a breakfast club from 8.00 a.m. for children attending College Gardens Nursery School and Wellington primary.
The children have a selection of cereals, fruit, toast and spreads. After breakfast they can choose form a variety of activities. There are three members of staff and we can accommodate up to 24 children.
The cost for this is £3.50 per day.
Unfortunately we cannot provide this service for children attending other schools.

College Gardens Nursery After School Club
We collect children form Wellington Primary School, St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School and the Chingford Church of England Infant and Junior Schools.
The club is open until 6.00 p.m.
We are registered for 32 children aged under 8, but can take children up to the age of 11. On returning form school the children have access to a variety of different activities, and there are different facilities for different age groups.
For example, there is painting, drawing, computers games, snooker, table football, board games and Nintendo Wii, as well as outdoor activities every day, such as football and other sport. The children also have access to after school clubs, such as dance and karate.

Children are served tea usually in the café or in our dining room.

The current charge, from April 2008, is £10 per day.
